Free UTM Generator: Clean Campaign Links for HubSpot

Build consistent UTM tracking links so HubSpot and GA4 file every click correctly. Lowercase enforced, bulk CSV export, free, no sign-up.

Build a clean UTM tracking link

Pick a channel to pre-fill the source and medium, name the campaign, and copy the link. The generator runs entirely in your browser, and the live preview shows the values HubSpot will receive with the click. It lowercases your values, turns spaces and special characters into hyphens, so the same campaign never splits into several rows in your reports.

The five UTM parameters, explained

A UTM is just a set of labels added to the end of a URL. They change nothing for the visitor, but they tell HubSpot or GA4 where the traffic came from, as long as they are named the same way every time.

  • utm_source (required): the exact platform the click comes from, for example linkedin, newsletter or google.
  • utm_medium (required): the type of channel it belongs to, for example paid-social, email or cpc.
  • utm_campaign (required): the effort it all rolls up to, for example q4-demo-push or webinar-may.
  • utm_term (optional): a paid keyword or the audience you are targeting, for example revops-managers.
  • utm_content (optional): a way to tell two creatives or two calls to action apart in the same campaign, for example carousel-v2.

Why UTM consistency matters in GA4 and HubSpot

UTM values are plain text, and the tools that read them match on the exact spelling. Google says it outright for GA4: utm_source=google and utm_source=Google are two different values. So LinkedIn on one link and linkedin on the next arrive as two sources, and Paid Social and paid-social as two mediums. In HubSpot, a list that filters page views by UTM only accepts "is equal to", so a link tagged paid social never joins a list built on paid-social. Over a quarter, one campaign ends up spread across near-identical rows, and attribution stops being trustworthy. Enforcing one convention at the moment you build the link, which is what this generator does, is the simplest way to keep every campaign on one line.

Tag links in bulk and export to CSV

Marketers rarely tag one link at a time. In the Batch & CSV tab you fill one row per link, with the same destination URL and different campaign or content values, and export the whole set as a CSV. It drops straight into a tracking plan or a shared spreadsheet, and because the formatting rules apply to every row, a batch of fifty links stays as consistent as a single one.

Get every LinkedIn touch into HubSpot

A UTM link captures a click. The conversations your reps have on LinkedIn usually never reach the CRM, unless something writes them there. Hublead adds a LinkedIn profile to HubSpot as a contact in one click, logs invitations, messages and replies on its timeline, and finds the prospect's professional email, so the people behind your campaigns actually land on the contact record.

What is a UTM generator?

A UTM generator builds a campaign URL by adding utm_ parameters to the end of a link. Those parameters tell HubSpot and Google Analytics where a click came from. This tool does it in your browser, enforces one naming convention so the values stay consistent, and shows you the finished link live as you type.

Why do my UTMs need to be consistent?

Analytics tools match UTM values on the exact text. In GA4, "LinkedIn" and "linkedin", or "Paid Social" and "paid-social", arrive as two different values, so one campaign gets split across several rows in your reports and the numbers stop adding up. This generator lowercases values, turns spaces and special characters into hyphens, so every link for the same channel files together.

What are the five UTM parameters?

utm_source is the exact platform (linkedin, newsletter, google). utm_medium is the channel type (paid-social, email, cpc). utm_campaign is the effort it all rolls up to (q4-demo-push). utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign are required. utm_term (a paid keyword or audience) and utm_content (to tell two creatives apart) are optional.

Can I build several UTM links at once?

Yes. Open the Batch & CSV tab, add one row per link, and export the whole set as a CSV, ready to paste into a tracking plan or a shared spreadsheet. The same formatting rules apply to every row, so a batch stays as clean as a single link.

Is it free, and is my data sent anywhere?

It is free and needs no sign-up. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to a server. Your recent links are saved only in this browser.
