Where to find your LinkedIn profile URL on desktop and mobile, a cleaner that turns any shared LinkedIn link into the canonical linkedin.com/in/ form, and a checker for custom URLs using LinkedIn's own rules.
Clean a LinkedIn URL, check a custom one
Paste any LinkedIn link, shared from the app, copied from the address bar, with tracking or without. You get the canonical form. Below it, test the custom URL you would like against LinkedIn's rules before you try to save it.

Where to find your LinkedIn URL
From LinkedIn Help, checked September 19, 2026.
Desktop. Click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage, then View Profile. Your public profile URL is displayed under "Public profile & URL" on the right pane. Copy it from there, not from the address bar: the address bar can carry a regional subdomain or parameters.
Mobile app. Tap your profile photo, tap it again to open your profile, tap the More icon next to "Add section", tap Contact info. The URL is under "Your Profile".
Format. It begins with www.linkedin.com/in/. LinkedIn notes regional variants such as ca.linkedin.com/in/ for Canada; they open the same profile, but for a CRM you want one form, which is what the cleaner produces.
Customize it: the rules LinkedIn applies
From LinkedIn Help: "Your custom URL can be 3-100 characters long and should not contain spaces, symbols, special characters, or the word LinkedIn." You can change it up to five times within six months; after the fifth change you wait six months. The previous URL "is still linked to you for six months unless you unlink it", so old links in signatures keep working for a while.
To change it: Me, View Profile, the Edit icon next to "Public profile & URL", Edit next to your URL, type the new one, Save. For a salesperson, first name and last name with a hyphen is the right answer: it is what prospects type, and it is what enrichment tools match on.
Put the clean URL in HubSpot, and keep it there
HubSpot contacts have a LinkedIn URL property. When it holds the canonical form, every tool that matches on it works: deduplication, enrichment, sequences that skip people you already know. When it holds a shared link with tracking, or a Sales Navigator link, matching fails silently and you end up with two contacts for one person.
Hublead writes the canonical profile URL to the HubSpot contact when a rep adds someone from LinkedIn or Sales Navigator, and uses it, together with name, title, company, email and phone, to find the existing contact before creating a new one. Reps never paste a URL by hand, and the property stays clean at scale.

Frequently asked questions
How do I find my LinkedIn URL?
On desktop, per LinkedIn Help: click the Me icon at the top of your homepage, click View Profile, and your public profile URL is displayed under "Public profile & URL" on the right pane. In the mobile app: tap your profile photo twice, tap the More icon next to "Add section", tap Contact info, and the URL is under "Your Profile".
What does a LinkedIn profile URL look like?
It starts with www.linkedin.com/in/ followed by your slug, for example https://www.linkedin.com/in/firstname-lastname/. LinkedIn notes that regional variants exist, such as ca.linkedin.com/in/ for Canada; they point to the same profile. Company pages use /company/, schools /school/.
What are the rules for a custom LinkedIn URL?
LinkedIn Help: "Your custom URL can be 3-100 characters long and should not contain spaces, symbols, special characters, or the word LinkedIn." You can change it up to five times in six months, and the previous URL stays linked to you for six months unless you unlink it. The checker above applies exactly those rules.
Why does the shared link have a long code or ?utm_ at the end?
Links copied from the app or from "Share profile" carry tracking parameters and sometimes a regional subdomain. They still open the profile, but they are not the canonical URL and they break exact matching in a CRM. The cleaner keeps the type and slug and removes the rest.
