Get a HubSpot alert when someone replies on LinkedIn with Hublead
Fire a HubSpot notification the moment a prospect replies on LinkedIn, so you answer in the hour, not in three days.
Problem
When a prospect replies to you on LinkedIn, the first hour is when it closes. But LinkedIn replies live in LinkedIn, so they sit unseen until a rep happens to check, sometimes days later, by which point the prospect has moved on.
What you get
- A HubSpot notification or task the moment a LinkedIn reply lands
- Reps that answer in the hour instead of in three days
- A repeatable process, not "remember to check LinkedIn"
Prerequisites
- Hublead active. On Scale, message sync runs in the background (Live Sync); on lower plans the date fills when you sync the conversation
- Access to HubSpot Workflows (contact-based)
- The Hublead Last LinkedIn Message Received property on your contacts
1. Confirm the reply date is syncing
Open a contact who recently replied on LinkedIn and check that Last LinkedIn Message Received shows the right date. This property is the signal the whole alert is built on.

2. Create a contact-based workflow
Go to Automation → Workflows → Create workflow → Contact-based.
3. Set the trigger
Set the enrollment trigger to:
- Last LinkedIn Message Received is known (or "is updated in the last 1 day" if you want to re-fire on every new reply)
4. Add the alert action
Add one or both:
- Send internal notification to the contact owner
- Create a task "Reply to the LinkedIn message" assigned to the owner, due today
5. Turn it on
Add a re-enrollment rule on the same property so a contact can trigger again on their next reply, then switch the workflow on.
Result
A LinkedIn reply now pings the rep instantly instead of rotting in an inbox nobody checks. Your fastest follow-ups happen on your warmest, highest-intent conversations, automatically.

FAQs
Do I need the Scale plan?
On Scale, message sync runs in the background (Live Sync), so the date updates on its own. On lower plans the date fills when you sync the conversation in Hublead.
What actually triggers the alert?
The Hublead Last LinkedIn Message Received property updating on the contact. The HubSpot workflow watches that property.
Will it fire on every reply?
Yes, if you add a re-enrollment rule on the property so the same contact can trigger the workflow again on their next reply.
